Olivia’s Game

Meet Olivia — a sweet, bright-eyed pup who completely stole my heart from the moment I met her. This oil painting was a commission, and honestly, she made it such a joy to create.

That green ball in her mouth? I could just picture her trotting around proudly with it, waiting for someone to throw it again (and again, and again). I really wanted to capture that little spark of personality — the kind of look that says, “Are you ready to play or what?” Because that is who she is.

Her heart-shaped tag was another detail I loved including. It’s such a small thing, but it carries so much love — the kind that makes our pets feel like part of the family.

I kept the background dark and textured to make her stand out, almost like she’s stepping right out of the painting. Every time I look at her, she reminds me how deeply our pets love us and how much joy they bring into everyday life.

Painting commissions like this always make me smile — they’re full of love stories in fur form.
